The new study shows that women should stay on Tamoxifen for 10 years except that no blood work is done in Canada to determine whether the person can metabolize the Tamoxifen. This directly affects whether the person will have a recurrence. Can 20% of breast cancer survivors take that gamble? A test is available in US for about $60 but not available in Canada.
Little has been done or discussed the effects of this, while the drug company keeps pumping out the drug.
